Maria Bekh is Ukrainian. She was educated in Istituto Marangoni, and got Master's degree in both specializations – Fashion Design and Fashion Brand Management. While studying in London, Paris and Milan, she was working on projects of the most prestigious brands.
May 2010: Took first placein the contest ‘Triumph Inspiration Award’ according tothe open ballot, which was held in Paris. Her works were exhibited at the Galeries Lafayette in different cities in France.
October 2010: Presented her début Spring/Summer 2011 collection during Ukrainian Fashion Week.
March 2011: Shows Art-fashion Performance on Kiev Fashion Days dedicated to Autumn/Winter 2012 season.
July 2011: Established her atelier in Kiev and till now working as Creative director of brand BEKh.
Currently Maria is working on her collections, successfully presents them on European, US and Canadian markets. She believes that fashion should express the uniqueness of personality and give the sparkle to everyday life.
Every BEKh collection combines
Ukrainian heartfulness with the tendencies of world's fashion-industry.
BEKh's fashion reflects the soul of
contemporary person. The brand idea is to emphasize the exquisite
simplicity and harmony in clothing. The garments are created in order to
highlight the personality and its individuality.
The lightness of the silhouette,
extraordinary tailoring and amenities of materials depicts the nobleness
and uniqueness of the person. The main representative of BEKh is an
independent and self-confident individual. A hedonist. A person who has
united the best of bohemia and the bourgeoisie - the bobo.
The brand's DNA is contemporary
nobility. Nowadays the nobility has lost its former meaning. It is no
longer the innate prerogative of ‘elite’, but also the attitude of the
metro political person in the society. The bobo’s lifestyle is a vivid
example of the brand's philosophy. They don’t follow the crowd and
always have a creative approach to realities of life. These people
possess a delicate taste, originality and counterpose themselves to the
outer world. Bobos are the new intellectuals with its own hedonistic
view of life.
BEKh presents ‘intellectual fashion’,
where each garment has its strong character and corresponds to its
owner. This fashion has a unique statement.

Сколько занимает подготовка к показу на UFW/
KFD?
Если
говорить о
коллекции, то
думать о следующей
я начинаю сразу
же после показа
последней. А
создавать
по-тихоньку
начинаю за
месяца четыре
до выпуска.
Правда, в этом
сезоне мы немного
опоздали, так
как я открывала
свою студию
и занималась
многими организационными
вопросами.
Чему посвящена твоя коллекция весна/лето 2012?
Морским
формам, цветам
и приморскому
настроению.
Больше ничего
раскрывать
не хочу, приходите
– увидите все
сами)
Стиль этого сезона в трех словах?
Ностальгия
по 70-тым годам
отображается
в силуэтах
брючных костюмов
и материалах
– замша, люрексовый
трикотаж и
вязанные косы
на свитерах
в разных вариациях.
А вот на вечерний
выход в свет
популярности
приобретает
подлинный
гламур 20-тых
годов – атласные
шелковые платья
в пол и меховые
монто сверху.
Какие цветовые гаммы будут трендовые?
Никакого
черного! Новым цветом
в этом сезоне
выступает –
петроль - цвет
сине-зеленой
гаммы. Синяя
палитра невероятна
разнообразная
от светло-голубых
до темно-синих,
цвета драгоценных
камней – сапфир,
аметист и малахит
широко представлены
в вечерних
нарядах этого
осенне-зимнего
сезона.
Что должна отображать одежда на человеке?
Гармонию
самого человека
Существует ли универсальная вещь помимо черного платья?
Да,
черный пиджак
и белая майка.
Что всегда есть и будет в твоем гардеробе?

Я
так категорично
к одежде не
отношусь. Часто
пересматриваю
свое мнение
на определенные
вещи, поэтому
не хочу Вам
врать. Поскольку
сегодня нравится
одно, а завтра
может быть
что-то совсем
другое.
Как будешь расслабляться после UFW/
KFD и где?
Я
очень хочу
поехать в Нью-Йорк
и увидеться
с друзьями по
институту!
